This Privacy Policy describes how MVD Holdings, LLC d/b/a Can They Stay (“Can They Stay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit [cantheystay.com](https://cantheystay.com), related subdomains, landing pages, the quiz, and emails or texts we send (together, the “Site”).
By using the Site or submitting a request, you agree that your use of the Site, and any dispute over privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. We may change this policy by posting a revised version with a new Effective Date. Continued use after we post changes is acceptance of the policy as modified.
This policy covers information collected online through the Site. It does not cover information you give us only offline (for example, a live event, a phone call we did not log on the Site, or postal mail), except where we combine that information with Site data.
## Who we are
Can They Stay is a matching service operated by MVD Holdings, LLC. Adult children and other family members complete a short quiz. If your ZIP is in a market we serve, we may send your inquiry to **one** local company for private-pay home care, a stair lift, or an accessible bath (and a backup if the first company does not accept it).
**We are not** a home care agency, nurse registry, medical provider, stair-lift dealer, bath installer, insurer, or government program. Local partners are independent businesses. Their services, prices, and privacy practices are their own.
## Information we collect
**You provide:** name; email address; phone number; ZIP code; who the request is for; what is getting in the way of staying home; how soon help is needed; how they would pay; consent to be contacted; and anything you type in a form or email.
**Collected automatically:** IP address; device and browser type; pages viewed; dates and times; referring URL; approximate location derived from IP or ZIP; and identifiers stored in cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (including those used by Shopify, advertising platforms, and analytics providers such as Google).
**From partners and vendors:** delivery and engagement data (for example, whether an email or text was received or a quiz was completed), fraud-prevention signals, and advertising measurement.
We do not require you to create an account to take the quiz.
## How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Run the quiz and decide whether your ZIP is in a metro we serve (currently Phoenix, Dallas, Tampa, and Orlando, which we may expand)
- Fulfill your request, including sending the inquiry to one local partner (or a backup)
- Contact you by **email, telephone call, and text/SMS/MMS**, including about this request **and, in the future,** about Can They Stay, new markets, local partners, related services, and other offers we think may interest you
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site
- Measure advertising and traffic (including Google Analytics and similar tools)
- Comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect our rights and those of users and partners
- Transfer information as part of a merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction
## Email, calls, and texts — now and later
**Email.** If you give us an email address, you agree that Can They Stay, MVD Holdings, LLC, our service providers, and companies under common ownership or control with MVD Holdings, LLC may email you (1) about the request you submitted and (2) **in the future**, with news, market updates, partner introductions, and marketing about Can They Stay or related products and services. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe. Transactional messages about a request you already made may still be sent.
**Calls and texts.** If you give us a phone number, you authorize Can They Stay, MVD Holdings, LLC, our affiliates and companies under common ownership or control, our service providers, **and the local partner we match you with**, to contact you at that number using live operators, autodialers, prerecorded or artificial voice, and SMS/MMS/text, **including for marketing, both now and in the future.** Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carrier support is not guaranteed. **Consent is not a condition of submitting the quiz or of any purchase.**
Reply **STOP** to cancel texts; **HELP** for help. You may also email privacy@cantheystay.com or write us at the address below. Opting out of marketing does not stop a local partner from completing a conversation you already started about a live inquiry, and does not stop us from sending non-marketing messages required by law.
You represent that the number and email you submit are yours (or that you are authorized to use them) and that you are 18 or older.
## How we share information
We share personal information with:
- **Local partners.** One home care agency, stair-lift dealer, or accessible-bath installer in or near your ZIP (and a named backup if the first does not accept the inquiry within our window). That company may call, text, or email you about this request under this policy and our Terms of Use. We do not blast the same inquiry to a list of agencies.
- **Service providers** who host the Site, process forms, send email or texts, store data, serve ads, or provide analytics (including Shopify and similar vendors), under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- **Affiliates** and other companies under common ownership or control with MVD Holdings, LLC, who may use the information to contact you as described above if we choose to do so.
- **Professional advisers** (lawyers, accountants, insurers) as needed.
- **Legal and safety.** If we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- **Business transfers.** If we sell or transfer assets, user information may be among them.
We do **not** sell personal information for money. Some advertising and analytics cookies may be treated as “sharing” or a “sale” under California or similar state laws. You can make a request as described in **Your privacy rights** below.
## Cookies, ads, and analytics
We and our vendors use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run the Site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and deliver or measure ads (including Google Analytics Advertiser Features such as remarketing, Google Display Network reporting, and demographics and interest reporting, where enabled).
You can block cookies in your browser. Some Site features may not work if you do. You may opt out of Google’s ad cookies at Google’s ad settings, and of many third-party ad cookies at [https://optout.networkadvertising.org](https://optout.networkadvertising.org).
The Site may link to other websites (including a local partner’s site). Their privacy policies govern those sites.
## Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to request: access to the personal information we hold about you; correction; deletion; a copy in a portable format; and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email **privacy@cantheystay.com** with the subject line **PRIVACY POLICY** and include your name, email, phone, and a description of the request. We will need to verify it is you. You may use an authorized agent as allowed by law. We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 days and complete them within the time the applicable statute requires (typically 45 days, extendable as the law allows).
If you are in the EEA or UK, we do not target the EU as a market. If GDPR nevertheless applies to data you provide, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of processing using the same contact.
## Children
The Site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it. The quiz is not directed at children.
## Retention and security
We keep quiz and contact records as long as needed to fulfill the request, run the business, meet legal and tax duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, then delete or de-identify them. We use commercially reasonable safeguards. No internet transmission is completely secure.
